| Timber Garage Doors: These traditional style garage doors are constructed from solid Cedar and Cedar/Marine plywood combination depending on the design. Most come treated with a clear base coat for you to finish in the woodstain of your choice. |
 |
| Side Hinged: Side hung garage doors are hinged at the side with the door leaves swinging outwards onto your driveway.
There are plenty of designs to choose from and they are available in Steel & Timber as well as Low Maintenance GRP & ABS (PVCu).
Some styles offer the choice of a centre split and an off centre split.
Because side hinged doors are outward opening, they need good clearance so they are not ideal if you have a short driveway or they open directly onto a public area. Side Hinged garage doors are a good choice if there is no clearance inside your garage to allow for up and over or sectional doors.
Security is good if you choose overlapping leaves and have bolts at the top and bottom of the door.
These traditional or barn style doors can be automated using a traditional overhead garage door opener & conversion kit. |
