Roller Doors

  • Ideal for Short driveways
  • Ideal for oversize vehicles such as 4x4's and People Carriers
  • Maximises opening width - existing frames can be removed
  • Maximises headroom clearance
  • Ideal for garages used as habitable rooms
  • Thermal & Sound Insulation
Space Saving

Rollerdoors are fitted on the rear face of the garage opening, maximizing width and removing the need for a timber frame.

They are ideal for short driveways because the door rises vertically and does not kickout.

Please Note: the headroom clearance required for the coil on the inside of the garage is a minimum of 205mm (Compact Version Only) and 300mm (Standard Version). Not all garages have the room for a roller on the inside, in this case we can supply an externally mounted roller door. Compact Roller Door

As a roller door doesn't kick out like an up and over door the smooth vertical lifting action allows you to park right up to the door both internally and on the drive way. There are no horizontal tracks as with other styles of garage door and the tightly coiling curtain creates more space inside your garage to accommodate high top, off-road vehicles or people carriers.

Security & Safety

Because the door is fitted behind the brickwork, has full height steel guides and dual locking bars it provides an excellent level of security and can't be forced open. The aluminium bottom rail reinforces the garage door and holds the rubber seal which stops leaves etc blowing under.

With automated roller garage doors the remote control unit uses a rolling code system and has 2 billion codes offering excellent security. The unit is very quiet in operation and will automatically reverse should the downward movement of the door be restricted.

Roller doors are a must for a garage that is on the building line. If a garage is built directly next to the pavement, it is not permitted for the garage door to swing outwards. In this case a vertically opening roller door presents the best solution.

A Guide to Measuring for a Roller Door

Roller Door measuring Guide

Below is a guide to measuring roller doors. The Roller door dimensions we require for your order are the Over Guide Width (mm) x Guide Height (mm).

Key:

Standard Roller Doors

The Drive Through Width (DTW) with 75mm Guides is a total of 150mm less than the Over Guide Width (OGW) except doors over 5200mm where guides are 90mm, therefore OGW = less 180mm.
Drive Through Height is 78.5mm less than Guide Height Check you have enough headroom for the roller door headplate, either 300mm for doors up to 3000mm guide height or 350mm for doors over 3000mm guide Height

Compact Roller Doors

The Drive Through Width (DTW) with 60mm Guides is a total of 120mm less than the Over Guide Width (OGW).
Drive Through Height is 55mm less than Guide Height Check you have enough headroom for the 205mm roller door headplate.
